GRONINGER FILMDAGEN
in summer 2025, Many Worlds was commissioned to build the digital platform for the first edition of Groninger Filmdagen.
With only two weeks before its first public appearance at Norderzon Festival, the challenge was not just to launch a website — but to create a system that could present the festival as established while it was still taking shape.
A structured platform designed to manage a growing cultural event — combining program, content and communication into one cohesive system.
More than a website, it acts as a digital foyer:
a space where films, events and conversations live together, while supporting the operational needs of schedules, updates and visibility.
Built as a flexible, CMS-driven system with a bilingual setup,
allowing both local and international audiences to engage with the festival.
Each film, event and program element is structured as its own unit —
with dedicated pages for content, credits, media and ticketing.
The system adapts in real time, supporting constant updates
while maintaining clarity and consistency across the platform.
Designed to scale across future editions.
The festival was still being defined while the platform was being built.
Program details, participants and structure were evolving daily — creating a high-pressure environment where speed and clarity were critical.
The challenge was to create order from moving parts,
and turn an unfinished vision into a credible public presence.
The result was a system that felt stable, clear and alive.
Launched on schedule, the platform became the public interface of the festival,
supporting its first exposure at Norderzon and establishing its presence.
More importantly, it created a foundation —
allowing the festival to evolve, scale and operate as a recurring cultural event.
